Nektarina Non Profit is an international non-profit organization dedicated to educating, connecting and inspiring people to care about their communities and their environment. Nektarina was founded in Croatia in 2009, has relocated its head office to Bristol, UK, and has worked in over 30 countries across 3 continents - our highly diverse, multicultural team has members based across the world. Currently our target countries are India, Venezuela, Ghana, and Sierra Leone and our work is based on intercultural dialogue, encouraging mutual respect and understanding. Nektarina aims to promote and facilitate the idea of a responsible global community, striving to include the principles of the Earth Charter in all our projects. The idea of a sustainable world is at the core of what we do, keeping in mind the three pillars of sustainability: economic, social, and environmental. The projects we have developed aim to engage people, particularly young people, globally, and promote responsibility at a community level, and for future generations in line with our three key actions - educate, connect, inspire. We're currently focusing on our Education For Sustainability project, which aims to provide a platform for embedding Sustainable Development as a discrete subject into school curricula, educating students about sustainable living, practices, and futures. As we see sustainable development to be a global issue, we have worked hard to advocate sustainable lifestyles and social consciousness to as many people as possible.
