We are a group of marine and machine engineering students from the University of Rijeka in Croatia, who volunteer and work together in the RiTeh Waterbike team, where we develop our own vessels and participate in international competitions. RiTeh Waterbike was founded in 1999, and consists of a group of students, led by a mentor from our University. Our goal is to create new, innovative vessels with high performance, with which we then compete on the International Waterbike Regatta (IWR). The competition has been held every year since 1980, in different countries across Europe. We have so far created three vessels, with which we have achieved considerable results. The vessels must be created in accord with the rules of the competition, like having two seats for the people operating it, and specific dimensions defined by the organization.
