First established as SCCA - Zagreb in 1993, Institute for Contemporary Art | Institut za suvremenu umjetnost was founded in 1998 by 13 co-founding members. We are now Zagreb based independent cultural organisation running a gallery, reading room and archive. We work to support the development of visual arts and artists, offering a space for exhibitions, public programs, talks, new ideas and experiments. Our programs and activities include curating and exhibition making, research, publishing and educational programs in the field of management for artists. In 2002 we have established the annual award for young visual artists - Radoslav Putar Award. In collaboration with Zagreb based organisations, we organise Gallery Weekend Zagreb since 2015. Located in the very centre of the city, we may provide you with all you need to know about the contemporary visual arts in Croatia.
