SWISS-CROATIAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION The Swiss-Croatian Business Association (SCBA) is a non-profit organisation, established according to Croatian law with the aim of: - Promoting bilateral economic relations between Switzerland and Croatia - Developing and deepening contacts between businesses of both countries - Promoting and protecting economic interests of Swiss and Croatian companies in relation to state authorities, institutions and other organisations - Protecting the interests of its members - Organising of and participating at various events, seminars, conferences, round tables etc. - Co-operating with similar associations The SCBA was founded in 2005 in Zagreb and currently numbers around 30 regular and honorary members, including the most important Swiss companies and investors in Croatia. The SCBA organises regular events for its members at the association’s headquarters in Zagreb. These events, with distinguished guest speakers from Croatia or Switzerland, represent one of the main activities of the association and are organised in close co-operation with the Embassy of Switzerland in Croatia. In the course of years, its guests have been high-ranking state officials of both countries, representatives of various institutions, state and local authorities as well as international organisations. The SCBA holds an assembly every four years and elects a president, vice-president, a board and a secretary of the association. The current president of the association is Mr Ivica Jakić.
