Udruga Pravnik (Association Pravnik) is a non-governmental, non-profit law student organization registered in Zagreb, Croatia. Organisational structure is regulated by the Statute. It was as early as 1967 when a group of enthusiastic law students at the University of Zagreb started publishing Pravnik - a student law and society review. Ever since, the magazine has remained the only professional Croatian student publication in the field. Continuous publication during 40 years had remained to be the sole interest of student editorial board until 1997, when "Pravnik"​ was registered as an organisation. Since then, members of "Pravnik"​ have also focused their work on activities such as organising public lectures on current legal and social matters, Orientation week for freshmen (since 2003) and internship program with students or the "Student outreach"​ cooperation program). All these contribute to the goals of the organisation: today Pravnik, next to publishing the Pravnik review, promotes and develops both student and human rights in Croatia, provides assistance and support for freshmen students in their new surrounding at the Faculty of Law, collaborates with other institutions: organisations, universities and follows current trends in higher education in Croatia. Our GOALS: - to promote legal culture and sciences - to improve educational environment at the Faculty of Law - to improve student rights - to provide assistance to law students and young jurists Our ACTIVITIES: - publication of Pravnik - law and society review - planning, organising and moderating public discussions and meetings on legal and social issues - providing information on student rights, guidance and assistance to students in implementing those rights - cooperation with faculties and universities - editing www.pravnik.hr e-zine
